The face behind Carl's Sweets & Treats
Hi! My name is Carli, or as many of my friends and family call me, Carl! I'm not entirely sure how that nickname began, but it's been something I've answered to since I was in high school! I've always had a curiosity and interest around baking, and have always loved anything artistic and creative. So, during Covid, a natural segue to combining the two was to begin experimenting with baking more and trying new recipes; which resulted in truly developing a love for baking!
My family have always been experimental (and quite good!) with baking and cooking, and have used food as a way to show their love throughout my childhood. So using food as my way to show those around me my love and appreciation is something that has always felt natural and been a part of my life.
After college, my fiancé (then boyfriend) and I moved to Colorado for a few years where I gained even more experience as the kitchen manager at a local gluten free bakery. Upon moving back to Michigan and needing to find a new job, and after years of being told that I should start my own bakery, I finally am! I'm so excited to be able to finally extend this passion & joy of mine to you!
